All Friends members–new and returning–are invited to the Annual Meeting of the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library. Meeting agenda includes discussions of the Friends’ contributions to the Library and the role of the Library in Queen Anne’s County, as well as election of Board members and officers for 2018. (If you are not a current member, you may join at the Annual Meeting for a donation of $25. The event is free for current members.)

The meeting will include a brief business meeting, providing updates on the work of the Friends and electing members for the Board of Directors. The featured speaker for the meeting will be Jim Duffy, author of Tubman Travels and “Secrets of the Eastern Shore” blogger, who will discuss and take questions on the Underground Railroad throughout Delmarva and specifically in Queen Anne’s County. Library Director John Walden will also present an update on the status of the library.

Wine and cheese will be served, and copies of Tubman Travels will be available for sale.
