Friends Annual Book Sale–Centreville
Centreville Library 121 S Commerce St., Centreville, MD, United StatesThe Annual Book Sale of the Friends of QAC Library will offer thousands of used books—including novels, coffee table books, cookbooks, travel books, biographies, histories, and children’s books, as well as DVDs and CDs—for sale for as little as 25 cents and no more than $1 per title. Come stock up for you, your family, and friends. Shoppers can also buy a bag of books for $10, using a bag supplied by the Friends (while supplies last). Book sales will be held at both Queen Anne’s County branches--at Kent Island and Centreville, with similar inventory at both locations. The sale starts at 9:00am at both libraries and will close at 2:00pm. All proceeds from the Annual Book Sale will be used to support library programming and enhance equipment at both branches. 2017 Annual Meeting
Kent Island Library 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, MD, United StatesAll members--new and returning--are invited to the Annual Meeting of the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library. Meeting agenda includes discussions of the Friends’ contributions to the Library and the role of the Library as a community hub, and election of Board members and officers for 2017, as well as a presentation on the history of Kent Island.
Dinner out at Rams Head Shorehouse
Rams Head Shore House 800 Main Street, Stevensville, MD, United StatesAfter visiting KI library on Tuesday, March 28, head across the street for dinner at Rams Head Shorehouse! (And plan to go to Rams Head even if you don’t need to go to the library that day!) Rams Head will donate 20% of all money spent on food that night back to the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library! Proceeds from this night will help the Friends continue to support our county’s libraries meet all of their goals. Be sure to print out the flyer below (which can also be downloaded here) to bring to dinner with you, as you’ll need to provide it to your server to make sure they know that you want to support the Friends of the Library.
