special story time in the community with Queen Anne’s County Sheriff Gary Hofmann. This story time will be held at Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt cafe. Come for a story and a sweet treat!

Book Donation Day

U-Haul Storage Center 461 Pullman Crossing, Grasonville, MD, United States

For the summer only, the Friends are able to accept donations of large collections of books at an offsite storage facility. Just pull your car up to the U-Haul Storage center on one of our three Book Donation Days, and load all of your books onto a cart to be taken away!

Friends Annual Book Sale–Centreville

The Annual Book Sale of the Friends of QAC Library will offer thousands of used books—including novels, coffee table books, cookbooks, travel books, biographies, histories, and children’s books, as well as DVDs and CDs—for sale for as little as 25 cents and no more than $1 per title.

Dinner Out at Doc’s Riverside Grille

Take a night off from cooking to support the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library! Doc’s Riverside Grille will donate 10% of its proceeds on Monday, September 18, to the Friends of the Library, so it’s the perfect day to come in for a steak, some crab cakes, a burger.... or one of each! Enjoy a cocktail, and save room for dessert! Funds raised at this event will support the Friends’ efforts to enhance library programs and services in the county. We look forward to seeing you there! 2nd Annual Adult Spelling Bee

Wye River Upper School 316 S. Commerce St., Centreville, MD, United States

The Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library will be holding its 2nd Annual Adult Spelling Bee on Thursday, October 19, and teams are lining up to battle one another for the title of Champion Spellers of the County! The public is encouraged to attend this entertaining (and free) event as Bee watchers, to cheer on your favorite team and to see how you match up against the spellers. The Spelling Bee will take place at Wye River Upper School in Centreville MD starting at 7pm on October 19 (preceded by a social time at 6:30pm). Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening, and attendees will have the chance to buy raffle tickets to win gift cards from more than 25 local restaurants that have made donations for this event.
