The Tuesday following Thanksgiving has become known as Giving Tuesday–a day for everyone to embrace the true meaning of the holiday spirit by supporting causes that mean a lot to them. We are so thankful that our friends at Dessert First have asked to celebrate Giving Tuesday 2022 with the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library!

Dessert First will donate a portion of all proceeds from Tuesday, November 29–Giving Tuesday–to the Friends of the Library to bolster our ongoing efforts to support the projects and programs of Queen Anne’s County Library.  Can’t choose between Dessert First’s homemade pop tarts, enormous cookies, or yummy ice cream treats? No worries! This is the day to try them all, while enjoying the view from the docks of Kent Narrows and helping the Friends at the same time! Not sure if it’s a coffee day or a hot cocoa day? We suggest you get a coffee in the morning, and then come back for a mid-day cocoa! All purchases, from 8am-8pm, will support the Friends, so you can’t go wrong.

And representatives from the Friends of the Library will be on site at Dessert First all day selling raffle tickets for a custom, hand-made quilt, made for the Friends by the Queen Bees, a local quilting guild.  Tickets cost $5, or 3 for $10. The drawing for the quilt will occur on November 30, so this will be your last chance to take a chance!
