Sweet Frog Fundraiser

Come join us at Sweet Frog for a sweet, cool treat on a hot summer day!  Free books will be available for children under 10 (while supplies last).  Sheriff Hoffman will stop by at 2:00pm to read one of his favorite books to our little Friends in attendance. And kids who wear their "Oceans of Possibility" library Summer Reading Program T-shirt will have a chance to win special gifts from Sweet Frog.

August Book Donation Days and Book Sale

The Annual Book Donation Days and Book Sale will be held August 23-27.  Please donate books, DVDs, and Audiobooks in good condition or better on August 23 and 24 and come back to shop on August 26 and 27.  Members may shop early on August 25!

Any individuals interested in learning more about being a Director are encouraged to attend an Information Session led by current members of the Board of Directors. These question-and-answer sessions are signed to provide a clear picture of the opportunities and responsibilities associated with being a Friends Director in an informal setting.

Giving Tuesday at Dessert First

Dessert First will donate a portion of all proceeds from Tuesday, November 29--Giving Tuesday--to the Friends of the Library to bolster our ongoing efforts to support the projects and programs of Queen Anne's County Library. Raffle tickets for a custom-made quilt will also be sale at the restaurant throughout the day.

And, take advantage of this time to explore the renovated and expanded Kent Island branch!

Book/DVD Donation Day

The Friends of Queen Anne's County Library will be collecting your donations of good-quality used books and DVDs at the Centreville Branch of Queen Anne's County Library on Thursday, March 23. Donations can be brought to the back entrance of the building, where volunteers can help you move bags or boxes of books from your car. Materials collected during the Donation Day will replenish the inventory for the Friends' Used Book Nooks at both the Kent Island and Centreville Branches.

Spring Pop-Up Book Sale

Join us during this one-day Used Book Sale at the Centreville Branch of the Queen Anne's County Library. We are happy to report that our prices remain as low as ever--$1 for most books and DVDs, 4 picture books for $1, and 4 pocket-sized paperbacks for $1 (with a selection of special volumes priced as marked).
