Seeking 2023 Board of Directors Members

The Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library has hundreds of members and provides thousands of dollars to the Library each year to support programs and projects aligned with Queen Anne’s County Library’s priorities. The Friends organization is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Directors develop and implement fundraising plans, conduct community outreach to increase awareness about Queen Anne’s County Library programs and resources (as well as about the Friends of the Library), and work to effectively fulfill funding requests from Library leadership.

The Friends look to welcome up to 3 new Directors in 2023. Any individuals interested in learning more about being a Director are encouraged to attend an Information Session led by current members of the Board of Directors. These question-and-answer sessions are signed to provide a clear picture of the opportunities and responsibilities associated with being a Friends Director in an informal setting.

The Friends have organized an Information Session for those interested in learning more about the Board of Directors:

Tuesday, November 1, 6:15pm, Centreville Branch Meeting Room

If you’re unable to attend but interested in the Board, just reach out via email us at FriendsOfQACLibrary@gmail.com to set up a time to talk!

If you’re ready to submit an application for a position on the Board or to nominate someone else, please click here for our online nomination/application form. Final deadline for applications will be January 15, 2023.
